    Tamil Nadu state School Examination Board conducts every year the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test which is also known as TNTET. This tet exam has the main motive to recruit the teachers for various private and government schools for the Primary and Upper primary level. The Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test recent notifications will published on its official website. Every year number of applicants appear this examination to fillthe recruitment examforthe teaching jobs in state Govt. schools. All candidates are informed that to fill an application form is must for TNTET exam.

    Tamil Nadu TET notifications will announced by the Department of Tamil Nadu school education or concern department , directed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Now the concerned authorities has announced that the B.ED qualified candidates are also eligible for the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test and though it is the compulsory test for all B.ed qualified candidates. Those who passed the tet exam will be considered for the teacher jobs in government and private schools of Tamil Nadu.     Eligibility Criteria for TNTET:


    All the TN candidates must have the required qualification for the desired classes.

    Teachers of classes I to V (Primary level) :

    All those candidates who are intrested to apply for the Tamil Nadu TET must passed ssc exam from the recognized institution with minimum 45% marks and 2 year diploma in Elementary Education and 2 year diploma in Special Education are also apply for TNTET exam. Those candidates who have Bachelor degree with atleast 50% marks and B.ed qualified candidates are also invited for the TNTET.

    Teachers of classes VI to VIII (Upper primary level) :

    All talented candidates who are intrested to apply for the TNTET upper primary level must have the Bachelor degree such as (B.A/B.COM/B.SC) and candidates with D.ED/B.ED or 4 year Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education or Four year BA/B.SC.ED OR B.A.(ED)/B.SC.ED with minimum 50% marks in B.a or B.sc are also eligible for applying in TNTET.

    Qualifying Marks for TNTET:

    Candidates are suggested that who are going to' appear the Tamil Nadu TET test are required to score atleast 60% marks.Those applicants who score more than 60% will be declared as pass in TNTET,and those applicants who will not score 60% marks will not be declared as pass.
    Those candidates who comes in the category of SC / ST / OBC and other physically challenged will require to score minimum 55% marks to pass in Tamil Nadu TET exam. The TNTET certification will given to those who will score the desired marks that is 60% . After the result declaration selected applicants can fill the recruitment examination form for the teaching jobs in state govt. schools.

    TNTET Exam Pattern:

    Tamil Nadu TET exam contain two levels which are having 5 5 subjects and each subject consist 30 objective type question papers for 1 each. There will be no negative marking in the test.

    Paper 1- For classes I to V
    Paper 2- For classes VI to VIII
    Those candidates who want to become a teacher and also intrested to teach the students of classes I to VIII can appear both the papers that is Paper 1 and 2 and score the highest marks to consider for the primary and upper primary classes and also for the high school education.
